Ronaldo did not play for Al-Nassr in protest against the Saudi Investment Fund

Cristiano Ronaldo did not play for this Monday, February 2nd, in front of the Al‑Riyadh for the Saudi League, in an absence that is not due to injury or management of physical exertion, but to a situation of dissatisfaction of the Portuguese international with the Public Investment Fund (PIF) of Saudi Arabia.

This absence can be interpreted as a form of protest or even symbolic “strike” by the player, who will not have physical reasons that make it impossible for him to act.

Ronaldo reportedly informed the club that he would not enter the field and was not included in the game sheet by the coach Jorge Jesus for not agreeing with the way the club has been managed by the Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fundan entity that holds the majority of the shareholder structure of Al-Nassr and other clubs that compete in that championship.
