The Army explains that, on Sunday, “it kept 375 soldiers committed to the field and 281 soldiers on standby”, that is, a total of 656 soldiers, in “support for the population and civil authorities”.
On Sunday (February 1) this was the Army’s deployment in areas affected by bad weather:
– Take: activated Command and Liaison Group; 1 Energy and Lighting Module; 3 cleaning and unblocking teams (6 chainsaws); 1 surveillance and deterrence patrol (Middle Tagus Sub-region).
– Ferreira do Zêzere: activated Command and Liaison Group; 02 Engineering Detachments; 06 cleaning and unblocking teams (12 chainsaws).
– Marinha Grande: 2 Engineering Detachments; 1 Accommodation Module with energy; 01 Energy and Lighting Module to support washing clothes; accommodation support for the Navy
– Vieira de Leiria: 1 Engineering Detachment.
– Sleep apnea: 3 Power and Lighting Modules.
– Ourem: 2 platoons; 3 satellite radios
– potters: 1 Energy and Lighting Module.
– Leiria: 1 platoon; 2 surveillance and deterrence patrols (Leiria Sub-region).
– Coimbra: 2 personnel evacuation teams; 1 debris removal and cleaning platoon.
– Pombal: 1 debris removal and cleaning platoon.
– Figueiró dos Vinhos: 4 Starlink modules installed (Campelo, Arega and Aguda locations); 1 Rear Link module in the assembly phase; 1 assembly team at height for assembling awnings in homes.
