Pianist Javier Perianes will offer an exceptional recital at the Teatro Principal de Alicante on Monday, June 19 at 8 p.m. Perianes, one of the most internationally acclaimed Spanish pianists of his generation, with a trajectory that combines awards and first-rate collaborations, will perform works by Falla, Chopin and Albénize.
A recital that is included in the conference program Sociedad de Conciertos de AlicanteIt will take place next Monday, January 19 at 8 pm at the Teatro Principal de Alicante.

An impeccable pianist
Described as “a pianist of consummate and refined taste, endowed with extraordinary calibre” (The Telegraph).
Javier Perianes’ international career has led him to perform in the world’s most prestigious concert halls and with major orchestras, to collaborate with directors such as Daniel Barenboim, Charles Dutoit, Zubin Mehta, Gustavo Dudamel, Klaus Mäkelä, Gianandrea Noseda, Gustavo Gimeno, Santtu-Matias Young Rouvali and Vladimir Jurowski.
Since 2024, he has created a number of foreign concerts in Spain by Francisco Coll with the Orquesta de la Comunitat Valenciana and performances with the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, Philharmonia Orchestra, Orchester National du Capitole de Toulouse, Orquesta Gulbenkian, Residentie Amber, Scottish Symphony, Orchestras B Singapure, Orkest, Orchestra, Orchestra, Orchestra San Diego and Vancouver. Perianes will also perform Jimmy López Bellido’s Piano Concerto with the Naples Philharmonic and then conduct the piano in the Sinfónica de Galicia and the Orquestra de la Comunitat Valenciana, with whom he will embark on the cycle of Beethoven piano concertos and orchestra. He will finish his time with the Auckland Philharmonic Orchestra and the symphony orchestras of Sydney, Queensland, Adelaide, Tasmania and New Zealand.
Perianes regularly gives recitals around the world, recent appearances at Wigmore Hall, Teatro Colón de Buenos Aires, Radio France in Paris, the International Piano Festival of Brescia and Bergamo and Adelaide. A natural and passionate chamber player, he regularly collaborates with violist Tabea Zimmermann and Cuarteto Quiroga.
Performances along the way include the Wiener Philharmoniker, Leipzig Gewandhausorchester, Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Boston, San Francisco, Washington, NHK Tokyo, Yomiuri Nippon and the National Department of Denmark, as well as the Philharmonic Orchestras of Oslo, London, New York, Los Angeles and Checa, the Cleveland Orchestra de Paris Symphony Orchestra Philharmonia Orchestra, the radio orchestras of Suecia and Norway, the Mahler Chamber Orchestra and the Budapest Festival Orchestra.
He has recorded exclusively for Harmonia Mundi and his most recent recordings include Goyescas de Granados and Chopin’s Sonatas Nos. 2 and 3 with the three Mazurkas from Op. 63. Perianes was awarded the National Music Award 2012 and was named Artist of the Year 2019 by the International Classical Music Awards (ICMA).
