StormSOS Launched for Victims of Kristin Depression

A group of volunteers launched the platform Tempestadesos.com to support victims of Kristin depression and accelerate response to the most urgent needs. “The project is supportive and the mission is to leave no one behind”, they say in a statement.

Tempestadesos.com was designed to respond to essential needs – essential goods, temporary accommodation, logistical or technical support, generators and fuel, construction materials, communications support or other resources – and allows anyone to ask for help in just two minutes or offer support.

The platform does the match between those who need it and those who can help, privileging the connection between people from the same geographical area, they explain in the same note.

Under the motto “A movement of people for people. No one is left behind here”, Tempestadesos.com was born in less than an hour, developed by a team of volunteer Artificial Intelligence and Communication experts, who decided to act immediately given the scale of the damage and the trail of destruction caused by the bad weather.

By combining technology, artificial intelligence and crisis communication, the platform intend reduce response times, avoid duplication of efforts and enhance organized solidarity.

“We believe that, in times of emergency, speed saves more than resources — it saves dignity, security and hope”, emphasizes the group of volunteers.

This group has already participated in other solidarity movements, such as Solidarity Bedduring the pandemic, where hundreds of caravans were placed at the service of health professionals, the Solidarity Computerwhich allowed the donation of hundreds of computers to people in need, and the Portugal without Flamesem 2025.
