Elon Musk Epstein Emails: Newly released emails from the Justice Department’s Jeffrey Epstein investigation reveal that the convicted sex offender contacted Elon Musk in 2012 and 2014 about visiting his private island in the Caribbean, according to a report.

The emails were part of more than three million documents released by the US Department of Justice relating to Epstein’s years-long criminal investigation, and the documents also include numerous exchanges between Epstein, Musk and their aides.

In one November 2012 email, Epstein asked Musk, “How many people are you going to heli to island,” to which the Tesla CEO replied that he would only need two seats for himself and his then-partner Tallulah Riley, according to a Business Insider report. Musk also asked, “Which day/night will be the wildest party on your island?”

Has Elon Musk ever visited Epstein Island?

However, it is not known if Musk has ever taken the trips.


Musk has consistently maintained that he declined an invitation to Epstein’s island and was not accused of wrongdoing. He previously told Vanity Fair that he once met Epstein at his Manhattan home with Riley for about 30 minutes while she was curious about a novel she was writing. He previously said that: “We didn’t see anything inappropriate at all, except for weird art. He tried repeatedly to get me to visit his island. I refused,” Business Insider quotes.

Emails reveal Elon Musk discussed possible trips in 2012 and 2014

Newly released emails indicate that Musk discussed visits to Epstein’s island at least twice. In December 2013, Musk wrote to Epstein about vacationing in the British Virgin Islands and the St. Bart’s, and asked him, “Is it a good time to visit?” Epstein suggested the first week of January, and Musk appeared to confirm the visit on January 2, 2014, according to a Business Insider report. Other emails from early 2013 show Epstein trying to arrange a meeting with Musk at SpaceX’s offices in California. Musk’s personal assistant suggested the dates, and Epstein’s assistant confirmed the plans. It’s unclear whether those meetings actually took place, and Musk said Epstein never toured SpaceX’s facilities.

In a separate exchange in early March 2013, Epstein directly sent Musk a light-hearted note: “Now is the time for fun. Musk replied that he was busy with work at Tesla and SpaceX. Epstein responded with advice about getting more sleep, suggesting that Tesla would benefit, but Musk claimed that his productivity peaked on about six to six and a half hours of sleep.”

The emails also show Epstein inquiring about SolarCity, the solar company that was later acquired by Tesla. In September 2012, Epstein asked if someone from SolarCity could help “electrify a Caribbean island” or his ranch in New Mexico.

Epstein died by suicide in prison in 2019 while awaiting trial on federal sex-trafficking charges, having previously registered as a pedophile in 2008 after pleading guilty to lesser crimes.
