Desaparecer

We are now much more likely to die when we land. The views give us more than just the contemplation of a corpse.

We are strengthened against the destruction of bodies, humiliation, retribution, torture, but yes, dead, absolute corpse, but not the same person before us someone who disappeared for a day and we don’t know if he is dead or alivewho, like Lazarus, returns among the dead to give us a message, or it will be the same as these messages, or those spirits we do not recognize who were our fathers and mothers.

They appear in the latest novels by Richard Price, Mariana Enriquez, SA Cosby, Andrés Barba, Dennis Lehane, Maggie Nelson or Patricia Prona, as well as in the tone of police novels where a young boy or a mysterious woman appears or disappears in the forest, a corpse emerges demanding justice or pirates who listen to the voices of the dead.

Por no blar de zombies in series and movies that reverberate, amplify and signal Not only do we not want to die in peace until we are invaded by half-animals, half-humans who devour our mascots, our social amenities, our whiteness and unpolluted social structure.

Does it sound like that? They travel on floors, they ride in trucks, they cross continents with these non-deaths and apparently when we go to buy bread and the one who lives in our house after selling cats and dogs.

We fear this form of disappearance as much or more than we fear physics. Lose your temper. Not understanding things, not recognizing them

We must die well because we will not return. In Spain we know a lot about it. We don’t know where our dead want to enter them and give them the dignity we deserve. Or Argentine, Chilean, Russian, Syrian or Venezuelan dictators, paramilitary militias, secuestros bez rescate, whose disappearances perpetuate a myth, just as it happens with stuffed animals, because they don’t know what happened, they can’t escape, the greater the punishment.

The story told us about the missing – the title of the next novel is Objects lostso I suppose the degree of my obsession with this subject—because in our societies the pilgrim to the mayor does not die – political security, hygiene, absence of weapons in the population – until they disappear.

We all face bad decisions to do this. Divorce, failed business, depression, problem you can’t pay, serious illness, family problem, problem…

We’re still looking for someone to brave the weather on the street of the winner who has been collecting watches, watches, gyms and clothes since July. So the middle class, which is high, is low, and those who assume it is low are not so, even if they are low, and those who devote themselves to writing or fantasizing about the disappeared, we are journalists, writers or cameramen, actors and actresses, radio or television presenters, only we can write about our great ones I say: when suddenly, without warning, we don’t see you.

Another one of my favorite literary and cinematic suggestions is what lets you down. We live so long that our minds leave us sooner. Let’s lose each other the night before they die.

The pain is numbing and must be transformed from death to blood. And we fear this form of disappearance as much or more than physics. Lose your temper. Inability to understand things, to recognize ours, extraviaries with drugs, vices, alcohol, porn, evil or greed.

The abyss is always tempting if you look into it. Because we spend our lives trying to get home and land without knowing how to do it, forget how it happened or that when we read them, they recognize us and we do not recognize them.
