A very skilled violinist

Born in South Korea, Bomsori studied at Seoul National University with Young UckKim and at the Juilliard School with Sylvia Rosenberg and Ronald Copes. Toca with Guarnerius del Gesù «ex-Moller» from 1725, generously provided by the Fundación Samsung para la Cultura and the Stradivari Society of Chicago.

Currently, Bomsori has performed recitals with Sinfónica de Bamberg and Jakub Hrůša for Germany and Asia, visited Carnegie Hall with Filarmónica de Seúl and Jaap van Zweden, and also in Vienna. He plans to debut with the Orquesta de Paris, the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen and the Academy of St Martin in the Fields. He plans to return to the Concertgebouw as artist-in-residence with the Residentie Orkest Den Haag and in Hong Kong and Beijing with Paavo Järvi and the Filarmónica de Hong Kong.

He recently made his debut at the BBC Proms with the BBC Philharmonic and at the Hollywood Bowl with the Los Angeles Philharmonic. He performed with the Tonhalle-Orchester de Zurichy Paavo Järvi and made his debut with the Orchester Philharmonique de Radio France, the Pittsburgh Symphony and the Orquesta y Coro Nacionales de España. He also performed with the Sinfónica de Viena at the Konzerthaus and made his Concertgebouw debut with the Residentie Orkest.

In 2021, he signed an exclusive contract with Deutsche Grammophon. The new album, which includes concerts by Bruch and Korngold with the Sinfónica de Bamberg and Jakub Hrůša, went on sale on 9 May 2026.

She is regularly invited to important festivals such as Rheingau Musik Festival, Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival and Verbier Festival. In 2021 he was named Focus Artist at the Rheingau Musik Festival and began a five-year residency at the Gstaad Menuhin Festival as Menuhin’s Heritage Artist.

He has performed with major orchestras such as the Filarmónica de New York, Sinfónica Nacional Danesa, Sinfónica de San Francisco, Filarmónica de Los Ángeles and Sinfónica de Montreal. He collaborated with renowned directors such as Fabio Luisi, Paavo Järvi, MarinAlsop, Jakub Hruša, Sanntu-Matias Rouvali and Jaap van Zweden.

He was awarded at the ARD International Music Competition, the Tchaikovsky, Reina Isabel and Jean Sibelius International Violin Competition and received the Young Artist Award from the Korean Ministry of Culture.

A pianist in constant development

Born in 1985, Blechacz started his studies for five years and continued his piano studies at the Arthur Rubinstein Summer Music School in Bydgoszcz. In 2007, he graduated from the Academia de Música Feliks Nowowiejski de Bydgoszcz in the piano class of Professor Katarzyna PopowaZydroń. In 2016, Rafał Blechacz received his doctorate in musical philosophy.

Since winning the 15th International Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw in 2005, Rafał Blechacz has firmly established himself on the international concert scene and is recognized as the best interpreter of Chopin’s works of his generation. The Polish pianist is recognized by the public for his deep and virtuous interpretations and captivated all over the world. In addition, in 2014 he was honored with the prestigious Gilmore Artist Award, an award given every four years to an outstanding and outstanding concert artist, regardless of age or nationality.

He was awarded the «Preis der Deutschen Schallplattenkritik» when recording two Chopin concerts with the Concertgebouworkest under the bar of Jerzy Semkow. In 2012, he was published on recordings of works by Debussy and Szymanowski, which was honored with the «Solo Recording of the Year» award from ECHO Klassik.
