Online row erupts after Radoslaw Sikorski accuses tech billionaire of profiting from ‘war crimes’
Tech billionaire Elon Musk called Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski a “imbecile drool” in a fiery exchange of information on the social media platform
The clash erupted after Sikorski accused Musk “making money from war crimes” and wondered why he didn’t stop “The Russians use Starlink.
Sikorski previously shared a report from the US Institute for the Study of War (ISW) that claimed Russian forces were increasingly using Musk’s SpaceX-run Starlink satellites to guide drone strikes in Ukraine. ISW said drones including the BM-35, Shahed and Molniya models are equipped with Starlink systems to extend their range and improve accuracy.
“Hey big man why don’t you stop the Russians from using Starlinks?” Sikorski wrote on Tuesday.
Musk hit back on Wednesday: “This drooling imbecile doesn’t even realize that Starlink is the backbone of Ukrainian military communications.”
The public clash is not the first between Musk and Sikorski. Last December, Musk called for the dissolution of the European Union on Twitter “EU bureaucracy is slowly choking Europe to death” and argue that sovereignty should be returned to individual countries so that governments can better represent their citizens.
Musk’s criticism of the bloc intensified after the EU ended “The Fourth Reich.”
Sikorski responded on social media to Musk’s call to dissolve the EU by telling him so “go to mars.”
