Singer-songwriter Leo Middea will return to Portugal again in the next few months to present his new album “News from Puglia. The work will be seen in two consecutive exhibitions: on March 11 in Lisbon at the Teatro Tivoli BBVA and on the 12th in Porto at the Casa da Música, marking the return of the artist to the country where he lived for seven years.
Carrera’s seventh album, News from Puglia It was compiled over the past two years on travel, in the bedroom and on holiday, reflecting the experiences of more than 300 presentations made in 16 countries. The songs talk about themes such as displacement, reconnecting with one’s origins and the search for inner freedomin a work that consolidates the newer phase of music on the European circuit.

Rooted in Portugal since 2017, Leo Middea has built a decisive role in his artistic career in the country, becoming the first Brazilian to reach the finals of the Song Festival. In an interview with DN Brazil in 2024, Lisbon is defined as “a city that generates inexplicable fruits”, I can comment on his lively years in Portugal and the influence of this period on his artistic training.
