A British mother of three who was allegedly stabbed to death by her estranged husband reported him to the police three months ago for assault and threats to kill.
Victoria Hart, 33, was stabbed to death in his family home in Alhaurín el Grandenear Marbella, on Saturday.
Juan Antonio Rueda, 37, was jailed by a Spanish judge this afternoon following his first court appearance for the horror attack.
The former semi-professional footballer went to a nearby prison after the stabbing and allegedly confessed to officers: “Arrest me, I have done something very bad.
Court officials today confirmed that Rueda was given a four-month suspended prison sentence last month for breaching a restraining order three times over a fortnight in November 2025.
Two months ago he was granted a restraining order for allegedly kicking and threatening to kill Victoria.

He has not yet been tried for assault and uttering death threats, officials said.
Victoria told the judge at the time that Rueda picked up the iron and yelled at her, “I feel like grabbing you and killing you.”
She also accused him of punching her in the face and threatening to kill or kill her if she insisted on a divorce.
In another shocking revelation, the court said Rueda had been given a prior restraining order after he was convicted of making threats in March 2024.
Victoria then gave him a second chance and the couple got back together until October last year.
Angry locals shouted “Asesino” – Spanish for “Killer” – as Rueda was driven from the courthouse in Coin, near Alhaurin el Grande, this afternoon.
He refused to testify and demanded to be examined by a doctor.
In addition to sending him to the same prison in Alhaurin de la Torre, the investigating judge also banned him from communicating with his 11-year-old son and two twins.
It comes after Victoria’s boyfriend revealed she had cameras installed in her home and changed the locks to try and keep her ex away.
Hull-born Elaine Mawer, 69, said: “Victoria did everything she could to get things right with the authorities but the system let her down.
“She changed the locks, had cameras installed, you name it, she did everything she could.
Tragically, she revealed that when she last spoke to the murdered hairdresser, Victoria was waiting for the suspect’s electronic tag to arrive.
Chilling details of Victoria’s stabbing have emerged from authorities.
According to the Spanish newspaper, emergency services were alerted at around 11.40am SUR.
Her eldest child – an 11-year-old boy – raised the alarm by pressing the panic button in the house.
The young man is also said to have telephoned his grandmother after his mother was attacked.
It is unclear whether Victoria’s seven-year-old twins witnessed the horrors unfold.
Paramedics attended but were unable to save her after she suffered multiple stab wounds.
A kitchen knife was found at the scene, which investigators seized.
According to local newspaper Malaga Hoy, the suspect told prison staff that there were three children in the house where the murder took place, adding: “I lost my mind”
Rudea, who hails from Alhaurin el Grande, is better known by his nickname Juanillo.
Neighbors said Victoria’s closest friends and family were “aware of what was going on”. El Mundo.
A Spanish newspaper reported that Juan was seen in a bakery near his father’s chicken grill business on the day of the murder.
Concerned staff asked him how he was feeling as he “looked serious” and he replied “I’m so-so”.
Victoria was attacked just an hour later.
A GoFundMe appeal – which has already raised £42,000 – was launched to “provide some stability” for Victoria’s three children.
