No. 5 Oregon advanced to the second round of the College Football Playoff with 51 points against No. 12 JMU. The Ducks will face No. 4 Texas Tech in the Orange Bowl on Jan. 1.
The Ducks’ defense let off the gas a bit, allowing JMU to score 33 points in the second half, but the offense was strong, racking up 514 yards in a 51-34 victory. Oregon QB Dante Moore threw for 313 yards and four TDs, adding one on the ground to that five-touchdown performance. WR Malik Benson had five catches for 119 yards and two touchdowns.
JMU quarterback Alonza Barnett III threw for 273 yards and two TDs, but the defense couldn’t keep up with Oregon’s speed and physicality as the Dukes’ historic season came to an end.

Knight finished with 110 yards in a strong performance.
