Curran’s signing came after the Bears had a game with fellow versatile forward Keaon Koloamatangi before he signed a mammoth five-year deal with St George Illawarra.
Perth remain in the hunt for Tino Fa’asuamaleaui and have made no secret of their desire to lure him west if he decides to take up the option to leave the Gold Coast.
“Josh brings a unique combination of skill and finesse on the ball along with tenacity in defence,” Perth coach Mal Meninga said.
“He plays with intensity and commitment to make his teammates shine.
“I couldn’t have been more impressed with Josh off the field as well. He is a leader who spends countless hours investing back into the community.”
