INDIANAPOLIS – The NCAA Men’s Volleyball Commission announced today, April 21, the eight teams that will compete in the 2024 Men’s College Volleyball National Championship. The quarter-finals on Tuesday, April 30 will advance to the semifinals, with the championship game on Thursday, May 2 and Saturday, May 4. All rounds of the competition will be hosted by Long State University.
UCLA (23-5) will play Fort Valley State (13-7) in the first game of the quarterfinals. UC Irvine (19-10) will play Penn State (23-6) in the second round of the finals. Athletes who win the first two matches of the quarterfinals will qualify for the semifinals. Long Beach State (25-2) will play Belmont Abbey (21-4) in the third quarterfinal game. Grand Canyon (25-4) will take on Ohio State (22-8) in the quarterfinals, and a third-quarter, third-fourth win will advance to the second semifinal. The winners of those semifinals will advance to the championship game on Saturday, May 4, live on ESPN2 at 5:00 p.m. ET. The quarterfinals are scheduled for Tuesday, April 30 at 2:00 p.m., 4:30 p.m., 8:00 p.m., and 10:30 p.m. The semi-finals will be played on Thursday, May 2 at 6:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. NCAA.com.

Conferences that automatically qualify include the Big West Conference, Conference Carolinas, Eastern Collegiate Volleyball Association, Midwestern Collegiate Volleyball Association, Mountain Pacific Athletic Association and Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference. The remaining two teams were selected at large, without geographic restrictions.
