Prep talk: AGBU’s Garo Ohannessian shows he can shoot threes

Garo Ohannessian is known as a “lifer” at AGBU, a K-12 Armenian school in Canoga Park. He’s been there since the beginning and is now making a name for himself in high school basketball with his three-point shooting ability.

He set a school record by making 13 3-pointers and finished with a career-high 45 points in a Dec. 30 win over Brawley.

A four-year varsity player, he was a freshman when the team reached the 2A South Sectional playoff semifinals.

Coach Nareg Kopooshian trusts him to shoot from anywhere on the court. The 5-foot-10 senior helped lead his team to a 13-2 record.
