The names of the 2026 US Olympic men’s ice hockey players have been announced.
19 of the 25 players on Team USA played college hockey, including standouts Quinn Hughes, Matt Baldy, Jack Eichel and Kyle Connor.
First, here is the list of players competing in Milan-Cortina, Italy.

Now let’s take a look at some of these former college stars.
Jack Eichel – Boston University
Jack Eichel had a historic season at Boston University in 2014-15, scoring 71 points in 40 games and leading the Terriers to the hockey title. His dominant freshman campaign earned him the Hobey Baker Award, making him just the second freshman to win college hockey’s top honor.
Drafted second overall by the Buffalo Sabers in 2015, Eichel had 56 points, including 24 goals, in 81 games during his rookie season.
After six seasons with the Sabres, Eichel was traded to the Vegas Golden Knights and helped lead the franchise to its first Stanley Cup in 2023. He remains among the NHL’s elite producers for the 2026 Olympics.

Quinn Hughes – Michigan
Orlando, Fla. native Quinn Hughes played two seasons at Michigan from 2017-19 before being selected seventh overall by the Vancouver Canucks in the 2018 NHL Draft.
In his sophomore season with the Wolverines, Hughes scored 33 points in 31 games, leading all Big Ten guards in points and assists. He won the 2024 Norris Trophy, awarded to the NHL’s top defenseman, after posting a career-high 92 points (17 goals, 75 assists) in 82 games. Hughes will participate in the first Olympics for the United States in 2026.

Matt Boldy – Boston College
Matt Boldy played at Boston College from 2019-21, making an immediate impact as a freshman forward with 26 points and earning Hockey Easy All-Rookie Team honors.
As a sophomore, he was named a Hockey Easy Team All-Star and was a top-10 finalist for the Hobey Baker Award after finishing third nationally in points per game.
Boldy, who was selected 12th overall by the Minnesota Wild in the 2019 NHL Draft, bounced around the AHL before making it to the NHL. He leads All-Americans in scoring this season and will make his Olympic debut for Team USA.
Kyle Connor – Michigan
Before becoming a starter for the Winnipeg Jets, Kyle Connor played one season at Michigan, scoring 71 points in 38 games and being named Big Ten Player of the Year. He finished second in the 2016 Hobey Baker Poll, a Michigan record by a freshman, and the second-most in program history by a freshman.
After a standout freshman year, Connor was selected in the first round of the 2015 NHL Draft. She has since become one of the league’s most consistent scorers, winning the Lady Byng Trophy in 2022 and setting career highs in goals, assists and points.
