The NCAA Men’s Volleyball Committee has announced the championship selection

INDIANAPOLIS— The NCAA Men’s Volleyball Commission today announced the nine teams that will compete in the 2025 National Men’s Volleyball Championship. All nine teams have been eliminated and placed into brackets, starting with the opening round games on Friday, May 2 on the campus of Damen University. The winner of this match will advance to the quarterfinals on Thursday, May 8. The top teams from these games will compete in the semi-finals and the championship game will be held on Monday, May 10. May 12. The Tournament Quarterfinals/Semifinals/Championship will be hosted by Ohio State University.

In the opening round, Damen (15-12) will play Penn State (14-15) on the Damen campus. Long Beach State (27-3) will play Fort Valley State (16-9) in the first quarterfinal game. Loyola Chicago (25-3) will play Pepperdine (20-9) in the second quarterfinal. Athletes who win the first two matches of the quarterfinals will qualify for the semifinals. In the third quarterfinal game, Hawaii (26-5) will play the Daemen/Penn State winner. In the fourth game, UCLA (20-6) will play Belmont Abbey (17-8), with the third and fourth quarterfinal teams advancing to the second semifinal. The winners of these semifinals will advance to the championship on Monday, May 12 at 7:00 PM ET on ESPN2. The quarterfinal games will be May 8 at 11:00 a.m., 1:30 p.m., 5:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. ET. The semifinals will take place on May 10 at 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM ET. All quarterfinals and semifinals will be broadcast live on ESPN+.

Conferences receiving automatic eligibility include the Big West Conference, Carolinas Conference, Eastern Collegiate Volleyball Association, Midwestern Collegiate Volleyball Association, Mountain Pacific Athletic Association, Northeast Conference, and Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference. The remaining two teams were selected at large, without geographic restrictions.
