Syracuse hosts Larenzo Fenner from South Dakota for visit (report)

Syracuse, NY – Syracuse is set to host former South Dakota wide receiver Larenzo Fenner for a visit, according to 247 Sports. The Orange will also host Miami-Ohio’s Cole Weaver, his agency said On the 3.

Fenner, a redshirt sophomore, was a second-team all-conference selection in 2025. It was his first season as a starter. Fenner’s 15 receiving touchdowns set a program record and his 1,001 receiving yards are third in program history.

He reached those marks on just 44 catches, averaging 22.75 yards per reception.

Fenner is also set to visit Cincinnati and Missouri. He was an all-state selection at Fort Osage (Missouri), where he was a two-star recruit in 2023.

Fenner is now ranked among the three-star prospects as a transfer and the 44th best wideout on the portal.

Weaver had 45 catches for 642 yards and a TD for the RedHawks in 2025. He was an All-Region selection at Blessed Trinity (Georgia) as a senior.

Weaver is listed at 6-3, 220 pounds.

Syracuse is looking to replace most of its production at wide receiver after losing three starters from last season. The Orange currently has 13 scholarship receivers and will host two more in Fenner and Alabama-Birmingham’s Corri Milliner.

Both Fenner and Weaver have two seasons of eligibility remaining.

The NCAA transfer portal went live on Friday, and players have until Jan. 16 to submit their names.
