Man dies after falling from 8th floor of apartment building in Upstate NY

A 63-year-old man in western New York has died after falling from an eight-story window, according to police.

On Jan. 4, around 12:15 p.m., the Lockport Police Department and Lockport Fire Department responded to an apartment building on Main Street after receiving a report that someone had fallen out of a rear window, according to a police news release.

Officers found the victim, whose name has not been released, outside the building. He was transported to the Erie County Medical Examiner’s Office by the Niagara County Coroner’s Office for an autopsy.

Officials notified his family. The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
