Be prepared for heavy snow in East Essex until Monday morning

The National Weather Service issued a heavy snow warning at 3:02 p.m. Sunday until 7 a.m. Monday for eastern Essex.

“A persistent lake-enhanced snow band has formed in parts of eastern Essex County, resulting in very localized heavy snowfall. 4 to 10 inches of snow has already fallen in the Port Henry to Moriah area, and another 2 to 6 is expected. This will affect the Monday morning commute in those areas,” the weather service said.
