The National Weather Service issued a winter storm watch at 1:55 a.m. Thursday for Onondaga County from 7 a.m. Friday through 7 a.m. Saturday.
“Strong lake effect is possible. Snow totals may exceed 7 inches,” the weather service says. “There is uncertainty as to whether and how heavier bands of lake-effect snow will make their way into northern Onondaga County.”
“Travel may be very difficult. Hazardous conditions could affect the Friday morning and evening commute,” the weather service added. “Watch the latest forecast for updates on this situation.”
