Syracuse, NY – During the 2025-26 Syracuse basketball season, syracuse.com will bring you a podcast that only decades of reporting and on-court experience can bring.

“Inside Syracuse Basketball” features smart, independent hoops from voices who know the game inside and out.

Hosted by Hall of Fame sportswriter Mike Waters, the weekly show features unparalleled insight and analysis from fellow Hall of Famer Donna Ditoto and former Syracuse guard Brandon Triche.

The show is formatted to feel like a free-flowing conversation between drug addicts. It’s nonfiction, serious basketball talk for serious fans.

Episodes include game breakdowns, in-depth player analysis, a behind-the-scenes look and comprehensive knowledge of the ACC and national landscape to help contextualize how the Orange have progressed in March.

Other knowledgeable and well-known guests may appear on the show to bring even more perspective as the season progresses.

Waters has covered the Syracuse University basketball program for nearly 40 years. He was inducted into the Basketball Writers Association of America Hall of Fame in 2022 and has written four books on SU basketball history.

In 2023, he was the lead reporter for the award-winning documentary “Will to Win” on the 20th anniversary of the 2003 NCAA team at Syracuse.

Waters’ award-winning reporting has been a staple for syracuse.com and The Post-Standard readers for decades, and is now accessible in more ways than ever before.

Triche, a former Jamesville-DeWitt and Syracuse guard who went on to a professional career overseas, is a regular guest on “Inside Syracuse Basketball.” He holds the SU program record for most starts (147) and most NCAA Tournament starts (14) from 2009-13. Triche is 20th on the school’s career scoring list with 1,564 points.
