The end of the year is usually a time of reflection for people, when we remember what happened in the past year and prepare our hopes for the next one.
In downtown New York, it’s interesting how our weather matches this pace. Snow is falling, forcing us to prepare to shovel driveways and vehicles and drive more slowly on the streets. And sometimes at night, when the conditions are right, you can find yourself outside looking up at the sky as the snow gently falls around you.
The leaves of the tree have already fallen and the snow covers the high and the low. Fewer people are walking the streets and more people are hiding inside. It’s almost as if nature encourages us to reset as one year ends and a new one begins.
