The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory at 8:50 a.m. Sunday for Tioga County from 2 p.m. until 4 a.m. Monday.
The weather service adds, “Freezing rain expected. Total ice accumulation around one-tenth of an inch.”
“Difficult travel conditions are possible this afternoon and evening, especially over higher terrain,” the weather service says. “Slow down and use caution when traveling. Be prepared for possible power outages. For the latest road conditions for the state you are calling from, please call 5 1 1. Watch the latest forecast for updates on this situation.”
