Oneida County deputies identify the woman who died in a Christmas Eve house fire


Durhamville, NY – Deputies have identified the woman who died in a Christmas Eve house fire in Oneida County.

Beverly A. Fehr, 74, was the sole occupant of the home at 5619 Main St. in Durhamville, where the fire was reported around 6:20 p.m. Wednesday night, according to a news release from Oneida County Sheriff Rob Maciolo.

Deputies found the home fully engulfed in flames upon arrival, Maciol said. According to him, there was a person in the house.

After the fire was extinguished, Fehr was found dead inside the home.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
