Latest Boys Hockey Rankings: 4 New Section III Teams Move Into Top

Syracuse, NY – A quartet of up-and-coming Central New York hockey teams made their debut in the latest New York State Sportswriters Association rankings released earlier this week.

In Division I, Baldwinsville (3-0-2) moved up to No. 11 and West Genesee (6-3-1) moved to No. 14. Rome Free Academy (6-0) remains at No. 4.

In Division II, New Hartford (5-1-1) used an upset of three-time defending champion Skaneateles to move into the poll at No. 5. Auburn (3-2-1) moved into a tie for 15th. The Lakers (6-1) dropped four spots to No. 6.

Section IX’s Suffern (4-0-1) remains No. 1 in Division I and Section I’s Pelham (5-1-1) holds firm atop Division II.
