Juma was named the MACCC Men’s Footballer of the Year


FULTON, Miss. – Itawamba Community College’s Villads Juma has been named the Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference Men’s Soccer Player of the Year.

A forward from Helsingor, Denmark, Juma had an impressive freshman campaign and led the ICC with 20 goals, the second-highest single-season total in program history. He had two hat tricks during the season, the first in an 8-1 win over Oxford Emory and the second in a 6-0 win over Southwest.

His performances earned him two MACCC Offensive Player of the Week selections, NJCAA Division II Player of the Week honors and a spot on the All-MACCC First Team.

ICC finished the season with an 11-4-4 overall record and a 6-1-4 mark in conference play, including wins over the seventh and eighth ranked teams in the nation and a tie with the No. 11 team, while receiving votes in the final NJCAA rankings.
